Visit to Butterfly Farm

It has been a long time since we last visited Butterfly Farm...

So it is good to go back to nature once awhile, after lots of shopping malls weekends. But apparently Jojo is still too young to appreciate this, thus he became bored very soon. Most of the time, we need to carry him around, pointing him at butterflies, flower, turtles, and basically anything to draw his attention to the farm....haha, no more 'kui kui' sitting in his prem...

Hi Darling Jojo,

Today you are 6 months old, a big boy soon..

From a tiny baby you have grown up to be a active and cute baby. We really cherish every moment with you, and there are more to come in the future...

A day out with Jojo :)

I brought Jojo to Gurney plaza over the weekend, with my friend (Shirley) whom also brought her 9 months old baby girl, Felicia. This is the first time I brought him out to shopping mall, alone, without the father. It was fun and challenging coz I have to manage him alone now. All went well, and the challenging part is actually pushing him (in a prem of coz) up and down escalater....phew..really need skill to do that(and I have to pick up fast!!!) :p

A small episode happen during the nappy changing, Shirley's baby started crying and both of us thought with the simulation, Jojo is gonna start too :P. But to our surprise, he start giggling and laugh everytime Felicia cries......we too amused & start laughing hahaha

4 hours passed so fast, and both mommies were so tired and we decided is time to take a rest and go home. After having a cup of coffee at Dome, we headed home......

Tired but fun, I can't wait to bring him out again :D

Jojo apparently found a nice spot to sleep :) - in daddy's arm.

KL

I went to KL alone over the weekend. Alone, mean w/o my baby. I thought I might miss him, and yes I did...aha, i guess once you are a parent, you will always think of your baby no matter where u r.

Obviously the trip turned out to be a shopping trip for Joshua's stuff again. Although we only went to 2 places, Curve and Subang parade but I still managed to get 6 rompers for Jojo. Yup! all are rompers, coz I love seeing baby wearing one :) and I think Jojo looks good in them :D

Two I bought in mothercare, nice but expensive. Thinking of getting them for CNY, but apparently they are still too large for Jojo. well, just have to keep them first. The other 4 were cheaper, but equally nice. 3 of them i only pay rm7...cheap rite.

Separation Anxiety?

Jojo has been sleeping with grandma on saturday nite while I was away. When I was home, I heard that he was not sleeping very well...hmm, could he be missing me, hehe :D

On the sunday nite when he was sleeping with me, suddenly he cried around 12 midnite for no reason (usually he will stop making noise, after u give him chu chu/pat him/hold him/feed water) but all these did not work this time...i was puzzled and wondering why..??? No choice, I have to hold him upward, facing me (try imagine the koala bear's hug) and at last he stop crying and start dozing off (usually I don carry him this way coz afraid he will wake up)....interesting part was he started crying again everytime i tried to put him on to the bed, as if he just wanna 'hang on' to mommy forever....(sign..i was so so sleepy at that time, but thinking tat he acted this way may be bacause he missed me :) and he was just wan to 'manja' I guess) so i just kept on carrying him and this drag on to about 45min, and then slowly I inserted his soft toy into his arm and again slowly hug him on to the bed. Luckily it works...pheww~~~

well this is not the end yet. He woke up at 3pm asking for milk.....then continue to make noise during his sleep till morning. Aiyo..baby!

First Day of Solids

It has been a long hard time, almost coming to 2 months we have feeding difficulties with baby Joshua....he has been rejecting his milk every time we try to feed him :(
all sort of 'tricks' we had to put on, just to get him starts siping on his milk...sign.

During his last visit to PD for his hepetitis B injection, the PD said that we can start to give him solids already although he still have another 2 more weeks before he turns 6 months old. Initially I would like to start solid only after he is 6 months old as I worried he could have allergy according to the book if we start earlier. Anyway, the PD comforted me that each baby progress differently, and since Jojo starts putting almost everything into his month, and he has start rejecting milk as well, the he could be ready for solids already...hmm, sound logic to me.

So today I start to include rice cereal in Joshua's feeding. We just add a tea spoon of rice cereal and mix it into his milk. He seems to enjoy it pretty much as it took him 45min to finish his milk, while watching his favorite 'baby eistein' vcd.....hmm.. AND he did not refuse his milk, ta da !!

Later at night, we only gave him milk, coz we suppose to introduce the solids step by step, meanign adding a tea spoon a day. 1 spoon on the 1st day, 2 spoons the next day & so on etc..

Again, he tried to avoid his milk..aiyo :((

I tried to trick him again...but not so successful. then the grandma told me he like to watch his vcd while drinking....ok, we on the vcd. what do you know, huh! magic, he drank it :p
